Give your Anthurium Dressleri medium to bright, indirect light to support healthy growth and vibrant colours. Anthuriums prefer their soil to stay lightly and consistently moist, but don’t like soggy conditions! Water when the surface of the soil starts to feel dry. During spring and summer, feed your Anthurium at half strength with a balanced houseplant fertiliser every two weeks to support healthy new growth. Anthuriums thrive in high humidity, so aim for 70–80% where possible, with good airflow around the leaves. Adding a layer of sphagnum moss around the base of the stem can encourage aerial roots to develop. Only repot when your plant becomes root-bound, moving up to a pot around 3 cm wider in diameter. Always use an airy, chunky and well-draining soil mix that holds some moisture without staying wet, in a pot with drainage holes to keep its roots happy.
