The queen of the jungle is here! The Anthurium Warocqueanum is loved for her breathtaking dark velvety foliage, beautifully contrasted by striking bright white veins. As she matures, her elegant leaves can grow to well over a metre in length. Native to the tropical rainforests of Colombia, she spends her days climbing through the lush jungle, attaching herself to towering trees along the way. A must-have if you love Anthuriums.

The Anthurium Warocqueanum in the moist to wet forests of Colombia from low elevations to approximately 1500 meters. The plant appreciates filtered sunlight and a moist environment.

Give your Anthurium Warocqueanum medium to bright, indirect light to support healthy growth. Anthuriums prefer their soil to stay lightly and consistently moist, but don’t like soggy conditions! Water when the surface of the soil starts to feel dry. During spring and summer, feed your Anthurium at half strength with a balanced houseplant fertiliser every two weeks to support healthy new growth. Anthuriums thrive in high humidity, so aim for 70–80% where possible, with good airflow around the leaves. Adding a layer of sphagnum moss around the base of the stem can encourage aerial roots to develop and grow into the moist moss. Provide a moss pole or other support to encourage larger, more mature leaves as your plant grows. Only repot when your plant becomes root-bound, moving up to a pot around 3 cm wider in diameter. Always use an airy, chunky and well-draining soil mix that holds some moisture without staying wet, in a pot with drainage holes to keep its roots happy.
