Isn't she cute? The Alocasia Cuprea Pink Mint is famous for her spectacular metallic copper-red leaves, beautifully decorated with rare pink and mint variegation. As the leaves mature, her distinctive pillowy texture becomes even more pronounced, giving every leaf an almost sculpted appearance. Native to the rainforests of Borneo, the Alocasia Cuprea owes her name to the metallic copper sheen of her leaves. As part of the Jewel Alocasia family, she naturally stays compact, making her perfect for greenhouse cabinets and smaller living spaces.

Care Guide

Give your Alocasia Cuprea Pink Mint plenty of bright, indirect light to support strong growth and vibrant colours. Alocasias thrive in slightly moist soil, but don’t like wet feet! Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil starts to feel dry. During spring and summer, feed your Alocasia at half strength with a balanced houseplant fertiliser every two weeks. Your Alocasia loves high humidity, so aim for 60-80% where possible, while maintaining good airflow around the leaves. Only repot when your plant becomes root-bound, moving up to a pot around 3 cm wider in diameter. Always use a light, airy and well-draining soil mix in a pot with drainage holes to keep its roots happy.
