Give your Alocasia Portadora Aurea plenty of bright, indirect light to support strong growth and vibrant colours. Alocasias thrive in slightly moist soil, but don’t like wet feet! Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil starts to feel dry. During spring and summer, feed your Alocasia at half strength with a balanced houseplant fertiliser every two weeks. Your Alocasia loves high humidity, so aim for 60-80% where possible, while maintaining good airflow around the leaves. Only repot when your plant becomes root-bound, moving up to a pot around 3 cm wider in diameter. Always use a light, airy and well-draining soil mix in a pot with drainage holes to keep its roots happy.
